INDORE: Indore Development Authority (IDA) board on Wednesday approved its two ambitious schemes – Town Planning Scheme 9 and Town Planning Scheme 10 — and changed land use of a big plot to pave way for construction of proposed 10,000-seat convention centre on Super Corridor.
The board meeting led by chairman Jaypal Singh Chawda and attended Indore collector Ilayaraja T, Indore Municipal Corporation commissioner Pratibha Pal and the authority CEO RP Ahirwar held a discussion over five agendas.
“For TPS 9 and TPS 10, IDA had received a total 599 claims and objections. They have been resolved. So, the board gave approval for development of both the schemes. The proposals have been sent to state government for final sanction,” Chawda said.
“As decided, New Tilak Nagar will remain a part of TPS 9, but IDA will not have possession of the colony’s land. It will levy development charges on property owners,” he said, adding that valuation of development charge is yet to be done. It is expected to be around Rs 200-Rs 300 per square feet.
